2014

Happy new year my loves. Or happy 2014 as I like to say :-) This is a short post which will eventually be followed by a long one. I like to get my new year resolutions down on paper, or in words, but don't know if this is the best outlet for personal promises such as get a better grip over my economy (no that does not mean cutting down on shopping, but rather other unnecessary expenses) or get a more healthy morning routine (in 2013 the routine was wake up, shower, do makeup on the bus and eat breakfast on the bus if you have time, otherwise skip breakfast)....

So I will settle for one resolution up here: have a nice day. For those who know me you know it's no secret my 2013 has been an emotional roller coaster, one that I am still recovering from, so my goal for 2014 is to make it much more stable, and have much more control. And make it good. Make every day good. Have a nice day. And I hope all my readers will, in fact, have 365 nice days this year.

When in Stockholm....

As I mentioned earlier, a few weeks ago I attended Stockholm Fashion Week. Although I wouldn't consider myself one of the best dressed, or most uniquely dressed, out of the people you meet there, I still thought updating the blog with one or two outfits could be nice. I wore this one of the three days, and was absolutely boiling. Might I add that this was at the end of August?

I am beginning to see a pattern with the skirts uploaded on this blog.... They all have (old) next to them. Is that my way of hinting to myself that new skirts are a necessity?

Well anyway, there isn't much else to say about this outfit, I love those shoes, just love, but what else is new...? The bag has been my trusted companion for around three months now, and actually there has recently been a new addition to my handbag-collection (which so far only consists of two proper bags but oh well, you have to start somewhere)... Pop in soon to see the update on a picture....!

Celine ponyhair leopard loafers

This is old news for those of you who know me, but these babies deserve an introductory post before thrown in with a whole outfit, although they would probably make that outfit, but still. Bought them in the early spring and oh lord are they uncomfortable but I'm working on it, because the beauty is too much. Ponyhair and leather. 

Celine did another version for SS13, with a strap over the front, which turned out to be WAY more comfortable. Yes I am beating myself up just slightly over not finding those first but that doesn't mean I'm going to reject these ones....... However, I may buy in to the other version in a navy, I'm in love and having trouble falling out of it....

I was talking to my friend earlier this summer about how many shoes I have bought this spring. It's a crazy number which I am actually ashamed of sharing, but if you stay tuned to this blog I'm sure you will soon be able to do the maths yourself. 

Anyway, one of my pre-summer buys were these babes. How perfect? I have worn them so much this summer, especially because of the heat, they have literally been one of the pairs I have lived in. And they have everything, comfort, beauty, and that classic element which means I won't get bored. In other words, my Balenciagas and I are very happy together.

My Chanels

So dead today after arriving home last night from Paris Fashion Week. So this will be a quick post. Popped out to Harvey Nichols for a quick lunch today with some friends and wore my new Chanel espadrilles. How much do I love these shoes... SO PRETTY. They may not have been to happy about the choice of day though as London generously gave us the lovely rainy weather we never get enough of.... If you know me, you can sense the sarcasm in that sentence. 

Acne accessories

Went to the Acne store a couple of weeks ago and fell in love with some accessories... The bag - black and leather, perfect. Maybe an autumn investment? And the Estelle shoes - love. Perfect for summer, and everyday shoes but with height... So pretty, comfortable and usable. And finally the Azalea shoes, no secret that I'm in love with them... 


Needless to say I left the store drooling and now, a few weeks later... Maybe one or two things are in my closet... To be continued...

my best friend

A few weeks ago my best friend came to visit, Elin, and I thought I would share some snapshots. It was a really short visit so we didn't have time for a lot, but the visit consisted of some cupcakes, shopping and loads of catching up. Amongst that we compared iPhone Mulberry cases, mine is a year old and hers is new. Mine used to look like hers...

I'm quite good at buying Acne shoes that represent seasonal collections, so until now I actually haven't possessed any of the classic styles they have. I do have the Cypress boots, but the first style, which is different from this current continuous one. I also have the Rider boots, but in a colour that was seasonal, as opposed to continuous. But now, I have the most classic continuous Acne boots of them all. The Pistols. And its about time. So far, the pistols and I are very happy together.

Spent the weekend working and studying, exams coming up soon so I'm extra busy... But new in on the shoe shelf are some shoes from Acne... Pop in tomorrow for more info... 

Marni for H&M

Oh yay! Finally more about the Marni collection for H&M!! Out in stores on the 8th of March and I am in love. I have always had a thing for Marni, don't know why but there's something that just draws me to the design, the prints, the colours and the general look... Here is a collage of my favourites but this is seriously the time I wish I had money. The collection is a nice collected one with lovely materials like wool, silk and patent leather. And Marni, as always, does not disappoint with accessories. I will be queuing!

Today I am wearing my favourite shoes, which are these brown Acne Shanks. Although I still need to wear in them a little I just love the way they look. They are so cool and the colur is amazing. They are definitely favourites of mine and I wouldn't mind having them in black, grey or that cool whitish-fading-into-patent-black colour... Something to add to my wish list...

A few days ago I wore my Carin Wester boots for the first time this season. I absolutely adore them because they make such a statement, unfortunately it was still too warm in London (around 12°C) to wear them so I ended up being super hot. But yeah, two/three years later they are still favourites... I will post the whole outfit later today...

... cool are these shoes??? I didn't really like the ones in the other colours but these are just amazing!!! I don't have a pair of silver shoes, but these are definitely on my wish list. And they would definitely stick out in a crowd eh? I like that sometimes, people looking at me like "what!?", that way I know that at least I'm not one in a bunch... Shoes are from amazing Acne, of course.

Well here you have what is on my mind at the moment. Spending a slow, sunny, summer-going-into-autumn Sunday at home and checking out some clothes and accessories for the new season. Although I have diligently been updating my autumn wardrobe there are a few things left on my wish list that aren't mine yet. Most of the things are not in my possession because my wallet has prevented it from happening, but some just haven't found their way yet. 


For example the Whyred Flora sweater - completely out of stock in all of Sweden, and they will not be getting a refill. 


As for the two pairs of hairy boots from Topshop, I am debating in which pair to buy. I tend to like chunkier heels but at the same time I feel like the ones with the thin heel are nicer overall. 


Now the burgundy Himalaya bag from Acne - how amazing? I feel like burgundy is definitely THE colour this autumn, and I have been looking at Mulberrys range of burgundy bags but this one from Acne is truly amazing. Maybe it can be my christmas gift to myself? I could buy it on sale... 


On another note - don't you just love the Topshop brogues, feel like they are a bit Prada s/s 2011 inspired... Don't know if they really go with my style otherwise, but I am strangely drawn to them...


So yeah, that is what is on my mind this sunday... Last sunday in sweden for a while by the way - less than a week left 'til London!! Woohoo woohoo

My beloved shanks from Acne have now for autumn been released in two new styles, an awesome black and nude colour and black with a wooden heel. I absolutely adore the ones I have, I love the colour and the fact that the heel isn't crazy high, and I love the material and did I mention the colour? But I mean these two new pairs are so awesome, would it be weird if I had all three of them? LOVE.

Acne

Since most of the shoes for Acnes AW2011 collection aren't out in stores to drool over yet I decided you guys could drool over my little collection for a while. Here are my Acne babies and I have to say - truthfully -  I don't regret buying any of them. They have been very used and still are, Acne just has that talent to create timeless pieces.

On a personal note I would like to mention two things; one being Norway, in which I don't have words to explain what I feel but I am sure most of us feel alike. The second being about my personal life - it is at the moment going through a natural disaster so an absence in posts and outfits has its explanation. I don't really want to elaborate at the moment, it is what it is and now I just have to see what the future has in store for me.

L-O-V-E these shoes. Would give a lot to have them. How cool? And L-O-V-E styling shoes with socks in a semi-casual way. It just does so much. I have to invest in a few cool socks. And maybe a few more pairs of shoes... Anyway, I'm off to my summer place now, so ttyl!
