Lilly Marthe Ebener

The Vogue editor Lilly Marthe Ebeners alpaca and merino wool blended knits are definitely cosy... On my christmas list is definitely the light ice-blue sweater but I love the orange and yellow colours too...

Notting hill

Portobello Road

Boyfriend looking at crosses

One of the shops

Nice, warm, cosy christmas sweaters

A cute map of London

London busses and cars

Old cameras...

We went and had a drink at a restaurant one floor up, overlooking Portobello Road and the shoppers..

Then we had a nice, proper, Italian dinner here...

And we finished off the night with cocktails at Mahiki...

A while ago my boyfriend and I had a day out in Notting Hill. Here are some of the things we saw and did. Definitely recommended but this time of the year, go early because they close down as soon as it gets dark...

how cute?

Picture from Sania Claus

I have a beloved iPhone case from Mulberry. It is so perfect with its sleek exterior and quality leather. But when I see this Balenciaga case I just die a little. How cute!?!? Maybe it doesn't hurt to have two iPhone cases? I mean after all, its like a bag, an accessory, and technically you should have several of those so you don't use the same one all the time...?

catching up

Been spending today catching up to the fashion world - I am more than a month behind with my magazine reading... So this is a little of what today looked like...

Rachael Ruddik

One bag- and accessories designer to look out for. With australian leather, quality and good prices her designs are really something I might invest in some time... Love.

Shopping event

A few days ago I got invited to a shopping event at Carnaby Street, with 20% discount. I didn't end up going because of my financial situation (especially now before christmas ;-)  ) but it drew my attention to all the nice little boutiques that exist in that area, so it's definitely worth a look around...

Today I am at home with a very painful back - I'm beginning to think that our new bed has something to do with my recent back problems :-S My boyfriend got me a massage though so hopefully whenever I go do that it will get better...

The Harts Boatyard

I'm wearing Acne shoes, jeans and Carin Wester sweater

My boyfriends restaurant, right by the Thames river, The Harts Boatyard

 Nice products...

We got a special edition Bvlgari San Pellegrino...

The food was amazing...

A lovely desert...

This week I went and had dinner at my boyfriends restaurant the Harts Boatyard with my dad... Here are a few snapshots...

Carin Wester

Here is a blurry picture of my warmest sweater - an old Carin Wester sweater in different grey tones. I really love it and should wear it more often... Here I was heading to my boyfriends restaurant with my dad, more of that and a full outfit picture in the next post...

Zara November

Zara's November lookbook definitely has a few pieces I would be interested in. They have, as always, snapped up several trends that I am intrigued by right now... Love the mismatching of patterns, really need to buy more patterned clothes so I could do something similar. Not sure about the flower trend yet but I am sure it will grow on me. And as you may already have noticed turtlenecks are definitely in my autumn closet...

if you're in London...

Save the rhinos

Speaking of South Africa I just received this little bracelet from my mum. It's a charity piece to donate money to save the rhinos from being poached. I quite love it with a black tshirt and a good cause is always a reason to wear it. And I really hate the fact that rhinos are becoming endangered because of the poaching - did you know that in some natural reserves they even cut off the horns when the rhinos are babies just to prevent the poachers from killing them for the horns sake later on? The rhinos should get to keep their horns and live their life - not either or... So yeah if you are in South Africa - why not save a rhino by buying this bracelet?

orange lips in the dark

So here is the outfit to the previous post... Simple straight military-coloured dress with orange lips and some silver accessories... And yeah the darkness will be a theme for posts until christmas when I go to the sunlight in South Africa... And I am leaning a bit weirdly in this picture - sorry about that!

them shoes...

A few days ago I wore my Carin Wester boots for the first time this season. I absolutely adore them because they make such a statement, unfortunately it was still too warm in London (around 12°C) to wear them so I ended up being super hot. But yeah, two/three years later they are still favourites... I will post the whole outfit later today...

November 13, 2011

So since it has now been two months since my boyfriends and I moved here I thought it was time to get some proper bedside tables. Until now I have been relying on some Acne shoe-boxes to serve as furniture but I feel their time was limited. It has been hard for us to find tables that fit our narrow bedsides but finally we found these at Next for £50 a piece. I am super happy and I love how it's still quite dark wood but mixes really nicely with the even darker wood of the bed frame (see very right of the "now" picture)... Speaking of bed I can feel my energy is nonexistent at the moment, so bed it is.

November 12, 2011

A few days ago the details were jeans shirt and leather jacket. I added some fur gloves to the photo that belong to friend - from Asos. Now I'm off to cook dinner. Don't know what though...

i want...

Pic: Carolines Mode

... this Zara coat...!? I don't have a grey one and I like how this one has leather sleeves... I'm also looking at fur coats. And I found this other coat at Topshop that I loved but when I went back to buy it it was sold out. Haven't come back in stock since :-(

At the moment I am doing some work - looking through magazines, paying bills and doing general to do stuff that I don't have time for during the week. Including blogging. Pop in later for a detail shot from earlier on this week...

November 11, 2011

So here comes a delayed burgundy / white turtleneck outfit... I actually really want to find a bright red knit to wear with these trousers but until I do I love matching them, and everything, with a white turtleneck. Warm, comfortable, easy and Celine inspired. The evening I wore this I went to the cinema to watch "The Help" and I definitely recommend it. I tend to freeze in the cinema so I warmed up in my favourite boyfriend knit and my H&M wool coat. Trousers from Zara, turtleneck from H&M, bag from Cos and Cypress shoes from Acne.

P.S. I love fun dates and times like today, 11.11.11. It will be the only date in my lifetime with only one digit in it...

Yesterdays snapshot

Yesterday I wore my new burgundy trousers from Zara and worked on my essay. Hence yesterdays snapshot looks like this. Will post yesterdays outfit soon. I'm a day late on the posts as you can tell ;-)

November 7, 2011

todays details

This is what the seat next to me on the train looks like if no-one sits next to me:

1. Acne wallet
2. iPhone in Mulberry case
3. My orange lipstick - favourite
4. Pasty - the english on-the-go food that beats all...
5. Reese's - I keep telling myself nuts are good for you so it justifies my daily intake...
6. My UAL LCF book-bag with fashion and branding books and a folder

Soon off to spend the evening doing a proper date night with my boyfriend. Will consist of something like bowling, sushi and CINEMA <3

my desktop background...

... on my laptop looks like this right now. A little thanksgiving and halloween inspired...

i want...

Pic: Fashiontoast

... a big sweater to match with lose trousers.... This one is apparently from Zara... Speaking of Zara, it is them I am writing my essay on, so expect some "did you know" post soon... :-)

November 5, 2011

Yesterday I wore some favourites from my closet. This red, sheer, flowy tunic-dress is really amazing, but it's a unique piece which limits how often you can wear it. My Acne Cypress boots are basically my everyday boots and same goes for the black jeans. Both just easy to wear and go with everything. And finally my white turtleneck. I love the Celine-inspired look that's very trendy now and the best part is that it keeps my cold-blooded body nice and warm...

Speaking of warm - I'm just about to take a bath and then get cracking on an essay due in a few weeks... Taking this weekend to really get working on it.

November 4, 2011

seeing stars

Acne, Rika, Topshop, Zara

I have never been a huge fan of Rikas stars and when I first saw Acnes SS 2012 collection I was not ecstatic... But as it turns out the stars are quickly growing on me and I find myself wanting to buy everything with star-quality ;-) Too bad I'm broke... As always... Saving up for a very expensive christmas present to myself!

November 3, 2011

yesterdays adornment

Yesterday I mixed textures and went for a fuzzy orange H&M sweater, leather trousers and suede Acne Box boots...
