My Chanels

So dead today after arriving home last night from Paris Fashion Week. So this will be a quick post. Popped out to Harvey Nichols for a quick lunch today with some friends and wore my new Chanel espadrilles. How much do I love these shoes... SO PRETTY. They may not have been to happy about the choice of day though as London generously gave us the lovely rainy weather we never get enough of.... If you know me, you can sense the sarcasm in that sentence. 

Lucas Nascimento

A designer who I really opened my eyes to whilst being here in the showroom is Lucas Nascimento... Really cool designs, cuts and playful ways of dealing with fabrics. More pictures to come in a general showroom post... Again, photo quality is mediocre due to the mediocre iPhone 4...

When in Paris....

... Shop French designer wear. Well not quite but these two pieces from Isabel Marant are definitely on my list. Been shopping a lot lately (show you when I get back to London) so I've decided on an unofficial shopping-stop for the near future... But we will see. Paris Fashion Week has been exhausting, long and busy so maybe I will treat myself... Anyway, 100% silk with little stars, around £200 each.

A day in Paris

Sorry for the bad updates, not a good start to trying again but then again maybe I didn't choose the ideal time, right before going to Paris for work for 10 days. Paris has proven to be busy with little free time. But I thought I would share what a day is like for me here, as I leave to go back to London tomorrow evening (forgive the picture quality - iPhone 4):

At the showroom. Some really great designers show their things here, I work for Christopher Raeburn and then there is Holly Fulton, Palmer/Harding, David Koma, Michael Van Der Ham and Dominic Jones to name a few. Pictures will come at a later post.

On my way to eat something after a 10.5 hour day of work. Walk past loads of really cosy, beautiful places. We are located in Marais so it's Paris history at its best.

Find some cute shops with inspiration, such as this one with old collars.

Have dinner. I have been trying to eat as much French food as possible.

Consider some colourful Macaroons as desert...

But settle for a nutella crepe.

And head home to start it all over tomorrow again!

Let's Try Again

Almost a year later and I feel I need not only an outlet for pictures, inspiration and events but also something to invest time in. I find myself slow surfing on the internet looking for something I never find, so maybe this is a better use of my time and can hopefully give me some new motivation. If nothing else it will keep my mind off other thoughts, unwanted ones.

So a year later. Still in London. Still studying. Working as a sales coordinator for a London brand part time to help finance my shopping addiction. Well, it should be to help finance my living but so far, no luck with that. About to leave for Paris tomorrow (going to be working in the showroom during Paris Fashion Week) but when I come back I will share the recent additions to my closet with you.

Above you see a picture of a much needed vacation to South Africa, which was taken in December (although it is already needed again, only two months afterwards...). It was absolutely boiling that day so I went for a white look with my bikini underneath to quickly be able to jump in the pool after the walk. I thought it was a nice picture to start the blog off again with, simple.

Acne accessories

Went to the Acne store a couple of weeks ago and fell in love with some accessories... The bag - black and leather, perfect. Maybe an autumn investment? And the Estelle shoes - love. Perfect for summer, and everyday shoes but with height... So pretty, comfortable and usable. And finally the Azalea shoes, no secret that I'm in love with them... 


Needless to say I left the store drooling and now, a few weeks later... Maybe one or two things are in my closet... To be continued...

my best friend

A few weeks ago my best friend came to visit, Elin, and I thought I would share some snapshots. It was a really short visit so we didn't have time for a lot, but the visit consisted of some cupcakes, shopping and loads of catching up. Amongst that we compared iPhone Mulberry cases, mine is a year old and hers is new. Mine used to look like hers...

I know my posts are nothing but regular, I can't give a reason as to why. I have a lot going on right now; taking my drivers licence tomorrow, stress at school (this term is proving to be way more busy than previous terms), working, all whilst looking for a new job. So time flies for me whilst it seems to be standing still on the blog. But I have a lot of things to blog about so I will try to update for sure. Oh! I almost forgot... Have I showed you this watch? I got it from Christmas and I can't wait until it gets the sort of used leather feel to it...

I know I have been gone lately.... I have had time off uni and I guess they gave me a finger and I took an arm and therefore just took time off the blog as well... What I have kept up with is my other blog, for the swedish site Gallerian, and then regular work, but other than that I have literally been offline - including social medias like facebook and twitter. But I will get back online now - and I have a lot of material :-)

Sitting in our garden, working on the computer a little and then enjoying the sunshine with Elle. This was a few days ago, today the weather is actually not that great... They do say April is the up and down month weather-wise...

ACNE AW12 Afterparty

Realised I still hadn't posted some pics from the Acne AW12 after party so here goes. I wore a black Acne dress that I got to borrow from my lovely colleague Stine. Besides all my other colleagues and Jonny Johansson himself I also met bloggers like Hanneli (love) and Columbine Smille as well as Florence Welch from Florence and the Machine!! It was a really cool party and perfect ending to an amazing AW12 show! Can't wait for the clothes to start arriving... But first I have some other Acne pieces that are new in my wardrobe but I still haven't showed you... And Egypt pictures <3

EGYPT

Gosh I though I would have a few minutes left over to blog some new material but I have just been so busy these past few days with exams, work and then family coming to visit <3 . And early tomorrow morning I am off to Egypt!!! I am hoping to be able to blog from there and keep you as jealous as I can with daily posts but I don't at all know what the internet facilities will be like so no promises!!! Until then, here's a picture from this summer when I was in Portugal...

B for busy, which is what I have been because it is exam and deadline season. However, my last exam is tomorrow and my essay is all handed in and although I have family coming to visit and a lot of things planned in for the next two weeks, I am hoping you will see a few more posts, but no promises...

nothing special but oh so nice

I'm quite good at buying Acne shoes that represent seasonal collections, so until now I actually haven't possessed any of the classic styles they have. I do have the Cypress boots, but the first style, which is different from this current continuous one. I also have the Rider boots, but in a colour that was seasonal, as opposed to continuous. But now, I have the most classic continuous Acne boots of them all. The Pistols. And its about time. So far, the pistols and I are very happy together.
