What makes the outfit

Quick post as I am in extreme study mode. About a month ago I treated myself to a new autumn attire for my nails. Needed a classic red and black nailpolish and then I got one of the YSL AW13 colours, Gris Underground, to add some excitement once in a while. So far only tried the grey-ish one and am really pleased. I also got a second AW13 trend colour from Chanel as a birthday gift a few days later, so actually my nails have four colours to choose from this autumn...

I think nails are really important to your overall look and have lately really been devoting time (and a little money) to maintaining mine. Will update soon with my Chanel colour as well.

Extras

Yes, I definitely have a weakness for shoes... And clothes... But you can't forget those little extra things that make a difference in your daily life. I am one of those people who love to add a little something extra to my everyday life, such as a luxurious scented candle, nice hand-soap and hand-cream, or a special perfume. The photo above represents some "new ins" when it comes to my everyday routine - a Byredo scented candle and a Byredo perfume. Just having them stand on a shelf in my room makes my day a little bit better, I love the look of them. The smell, of course, is... Well, perfect. For me anyway.

Wearing my bow

Today I wore my new Maria Nilsdotter ring, a little golden bow. I love it so much because it is so cute and unique, and really adds to an outfit, more than you would think. I also love the fact that I chose a size good for my index finger, which is a finger I usually don't wear rings on, but actually kind of love wearing rings on...? It was an amazing birthday gift from my lovely friend, which makes this ring so much more perfect.

As for the iPhone featured in this photo.... Suffice it to say I am looking forward to what Apple will be announcing on the 10th September, this phone has now definitely passed its golden years.

Sneak peak

Here is a sneak peak of a full outfit I will post tomorrow. The trousers are Isabel Marant Etoile SS13 and 100% silk - which makes me love them even more. Stars don't hurt either, for some reason I am very into stars right now...?

Wow, today I am exhausted. As a BA I do a lot of admin work in front of a computer and the brain just shuts off after a while. But in two weeks time I get a change of scenery - Stockholm Fashion Week!!

When in Paris....

... Shop French designer wear. Well not quite but these two pieces from Isabel Marant are definitely on my list. Been shopping a lot lately (show you when I get back to London) so I've decided on an unofficial shopping-stop for the near future... But we will see. Paris Fashion Week has been exhausting, long and busy so maybe I will treat myself... Anyway, 100% silk with little stars, around £200 each.

tick tock

I know my posts are nothing but regular, I can't give a reason as to why. I have a lot going on right now; taking my drivers licence tomorrow, stress at school (this term is proving to be way more busy than previous terms), working, all whilst looking for a new job. So time flies for me whilst it seems to be standing still on the blog. But I have a lot of things to blog about so I will try to update for sure. accessories sneak peak

I still haven't shared this outfit I wore more than a week ago now. I will post it tomorrow... Until then, here's a sneak peak of my accessories that I wore. The watch was a gift from my boyfriend, I have been wanting a gold watch with brown leather... 

Interior

I am running out of pictures to share with you guys and I ran out of time to take them a LONG time ago so I shall share a pic of an interior detail in my little apartment... The African man is part of an African theme that runs through my entire apartment because of my background and relationship to Africa. And then I have some boxes piled on top of each other. I think it looks quite nice and it also creates storage for things like notes or memories that you want to keep but have no-where to put. The boxes are, from top down: YSL, Mulberry, Acne and Lanvin for H&M...

YSL Arty Oval Ring

I have become more and more interested in seriously investing in jewellery and accessories, because at the end of the day they can really make or break a look and it is always nice to have pieces that you know are going to last you more or less a lifetime. Out of these pieces of jewellery there have been loads I have been lusting over, one being the YSL Arty Oval ring, which finally became mine as my boyfriend got it for me for christmas. I am so in love with it and I'm fighting the urge not to wear it every day, and I am already planning on buying a second one so I can wear them together... Beware of crazy... ;-)

New and furry

For christmas I also got this furry bag from Zara. I love it! It completely makes an outfit and it's roomy enough to fit everything you need but it's still not a big bag. Perfect for a night out or a day shopping when you don't want to carry around too much stuff. And to add onto that I have always wanted a furry bag - it makes playing with textures so fun and easy. Pop in later for a better outfit post...

Back from SA

I am now back from South Africa and Cape Town and I'm preparing a post for tomorrow with a bunch of pictures from my trip. But today I am spending the day with my boyfriend and this evening we are going out for dinner. I would love to accessorise like this (Jak & Jil of course) - especially because for christmas I got a watch from him which would look perfect matched with other watches. I love that look but it is definitely hard to get it right... I guess that remains to be seen for tonight eh? Keep you posted...

Details

Exam coming up on thursday so I have been spending my time studying for it - a lot of fashion globalisation, branding and marketing... A while ago I wore this, a silky white shirt that I spiced up with my African bracelets. I'm heading to South Africa for christmas so I thought I would ease into it ;-)

Carin Wester

Here is a blurry picture of my warmest sweater - an old Carin Wester sweater in different grey tones. I really love it and should wear it more often... Here I was heading to my boyfriends restaurant with my dad, more of that and a full outfit picture in the next post...

Save the rhinos

Speaking of South Africa I just received this little bracelet from my mum. It's a charity piece to donate money to save the rhinos from being poached. I quite love it with a black tshirt and a good cause is always a reason to wear it. And I really hate the fact that rhinos are becoming endangered because of the poaching - did you know that in some natural reserves they even cut off the horns when the rhinos are babies just to prevent the poachers from killing them for the horns sake later on? The rhinos should get to keep their horns and live their life - not either or... So yeah if you are in South Africa - why not save a rhino by buying this bracelet?

A few days ago I wore my Carin Wester boots for the first time this season. I absolutely adore them because they make such a statement, unfortunately it was still too warm in London (around 12°C) to wear them so I ended up being super hot. But yeah, two/three years later they are still favourites... I will post the whole outfit later today...

A few days ago the details were jeans shirt and leather jacket. I added some fur gloves to the photo that belong to friend - from Asos. Now I'm off to cook dinner. Don't know what though...
