A day in Paris

Sorry for the bad updates, not a good start to trying again but then again maybe I didn't choose the ideal time, right before going to Paris for work for 10 days. Paris has proven to be busy with little free time. But I thought I would share what a day is like for me here, as I leave to go back to London tomorrow evening (forgive the picture quality - iPhone 4):

The walk to the showroom goes through this beautiful place, Place Des Vosges.

Pick up a freshly squeezed juice if I have time...

And eye the amazing pastries at the "Patisserie" 

At the showroom. Some really great designers show their things here, I work for Christopher Raeburn and then there is Holly Fulton, Palmer/Harding, David Koma, Michael Van Der Ham and Dominic Jones to name a few. Pictures will come at a later post.

On my way to eat something after a 10.5 hour day of work. Walk past loads of really cosy, beautiful places. We are located in Marais so it's Paris history at its best.

Find some cute shops with inspiration, such as this one with old collars.

Have dinner. I have been trying to eat as much French food as possible.

Consider some colourful Macaroons as desert...

But settle for a nutella crepe.

And head home to start it all over tomorrow again!

my day

Sitting in our garden, working on the computer a little and then enjoying the sunshine with Elle. This was a few days ago, today the weather is actually not that great... They do say April is the up and down month weather-wise...

At the moment...

... I am just planning everything for London Fashion Week. I like to be organised and plan things way ahead of time, and I know it may be thought of as a little early, but before you know it you're swamped with other stuff so it's better to have it done...!

Franschhoek

The background is the view we had from our balcony... 

And the guest house we stayed at looked like this...

We did wine tasting... 

And enjoyed the view... 

And drank wine whilst enjoying the view. 

We went horse riding... 

And saw incredibly beautiful landscape.

So these are my last pictures from South Africa Dec. 2011 - Jan. 2012. I spent the last couple of days in a wine-town, visiting loads of vineyards and soaking up the sun and the amazing view. This is the second time I went to Franschhoek and I really like that little town. It is so miniature but yet so full of experiences and it is definitely super-cosy.

But yeah, now I am back in London and back to school, and properly at that. I can tell that this term is going to be hectic but I think that kind of excites me. I like to have things to do and I love to plan and organise my schedule and my work load and so on. So I think I may sit down now and do just that!

Cape town part 1

 The weather in Cape Town was lovely...

We saw beautifully coloured houses... 

And ones with drawings and advertisements on them as well...

We celebrated the new year with champagne... 

And a few (but not many) fireworks were viewed from our rooftop... 

We went for an amazing afternoon tea with a huge selection of food... 

And a huge selection of different teas... 

Including ice teas - which were served in champagne glasses... 

We went for an outside concert to see "The Mango Group"... 

The concert was located in a botanical garden overlooking Table Mountain (one of the natural wonders of the world...)

That's a little of Cape Town for you.... I will post pictures from a small town (Franschhoek) just outside of Cape Town later!!! Goodnight :-)

Stripes

This trip to South Africa I have no proper safari planned like I usually do so we spent a day doing a walking safari. Since it's by foot you don't really see any extravagant animals but we managed to see Kudus, Impalas and Zebras. If you look closely in the second picture you can see the kudu in the background... I blended in quite well with the zebras as I coincidentally wore stripes that day as well. I matched them with safari-green shorts and then I wore my Reebok easy tone trainers as we were walking for a couple of hours. Finally I protected my head with a cap but I in no way intend for it to look like I am capturing the spring-cap trend, as I am planning to purchase a leather cap for that... I would love the Acne one with the star... 

Richmond Park

Yesterday was a sunny day so I decided to take advantage of the weather and do some (amateur) photography whilst walking my dog, Chloé. We walked in Richmond Park which actually is a game reserve - and we did spot quite a few animals. You should definitely have a walk through this park if you are around, watching the sun set over Kingston Upon Thames is beautiful. 


Can you spot the squirrel in the first picture? We also spotted the baby deer and the adults - we must have seen at least 30 deer altogether. Then we looked over Kingston from the top of the hill, where we also saw some interesting lime green birds - if you look closely in the photo of the tree branches and the sky you can see them. We played around a little and found blackberries that still aren't ripe!? So yeah - Richmond Park has lots to offer.

Hyde Park Winter Wonderland

A not-so-fashion-oriented post, more London oriented. The other day my boyfriend and I went to the London attraction Hyde Park Winter Wonderland. It is a big christmas fair aimed at all ages with different rides, stands, games as well as an ice skating rink. We enjoyed a few games and ate a classic german sausage. It is definitely worth visiting if you are in London this time of the year, if for no other reason than for the christmas spirit. They have cute stands with christmas ornaments, loads of sweets, decorations like dream catchers and paintings and much more. Definitely a cosy way to spend a day in London.
